An austenitic-ferritic stainless steel electrode with ferritic content of about 15% used for welding stainless steel to high-alloy and unalloyed steel and heat-resistant steels with approximately 20% Cr and 12% Ni. Weld bead is crack-resistant and porosity free. The electrode can be used in all positions but best in flat position.
For fabrication and repair of austenitic ferritic steel equipment used in the petro-chemical industries, chemical and drug industries, etc; for hardsurfacing of unalloyed steels and other steel to resist severe impact and corrosion. Also suitable as buffer layer on 18/8 clad steels.
