An all-position rutile type electrode for general shop work and light steel fabrication. The electrode has exceptional welding characteristics even in fillet welding. Weld bead is smooth, well-rounded with closely rippled surface.
Det Norske Veritas (DnV) : Grade 2
Lloyds Register of Shipping (LR): Grade 2m
Best recommended for general fabrication, repair and maintenance work on light steel, mild steel equipment and machinery. Also suitable for welding of jeep bodies, water tanks, metal furniture, iron grills and fences, farm tools, window frames and many others.
Use AC or DC both polarities. Maintain a short to medium arc. Hold electrode perpendicular to work surface and slightly inclined in direction of travel keeping size of molten pool small. Do not allow coating to touch pool for best result, joints should be free from rust, dirt, oil or grease.
