A surfacing Electrode with machinable deposit. Brinell hardness is about 250 depending on mass and number of layers of deposited metal. Rutile-type coating gives smooth operating characteristics with very little spatter and readily detachable slag. Exceptionally high deposition rate and deposition efficiency. Weld metal recovery with respect to the core wire is approximately 122%. Suitable for welding in all positions.
Applications and Directions
Repair of crushing rolls, tractor-shoes, rollers, sprockets, gears, pinion teeth, railway and train rails and other machine parts where moderate hardness and toughness are required combined with easy machinability. Either AC or DC straight polarity (DC-) can be used. Keep a short arc, travel fast as practical, and avoid overheating the base metal. |
